COOKIE
policy.
This page explains the cookies empiretv.co uses, what each one is for, and how to control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Some are needed for pages and forms to work at all; others tell us which pages people read, or power tools like live chat. Similar technologies — local storage and pixels — work the same way and are covered by this policy.
2. What we use, and why
| Category | What it does | Set by | Runs without permission? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps pages working, remembers your cookie choice, and protects forms from spam. | Empire TV | Yes — the site cannot work without these. |
| Analytics | Counts page views and which tools get used, so we know what to improve. Aggregated; not used to build a profile of you. | Empire TV and our analytics provider | No — only after you accept. |
| Live chat & support | Runs the chat bubble and the help-desk widget, and keeps a conversation going as you move between pages. | Zoho SalesIQ, Zoho Desk | No — only after you accept. |
We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies on this site.
Your choice is enforced, not decorative. If you decline non-essential cookies, the analytics, chat and help-desk scripts are never loaded — they are held as inert placeholders until you accept. Only the strictly necessary cookies remain.
3. Your choices
- The banner. On your first visit you can Accept all or Decline non-essential. Both options carry the same weight; closing the banner does not count as acceptance.
- Change your mind any time. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page.
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of this site.
4. Global Privacy Control
If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out: non-essential cookies stay switched off and the banner tells you we detected it. You do not need to do anything else. Several state privacy laws, including New Jersey's and California's, recognise GPC as a valid opt-out mechanism.
5. Sale of personal information and targeted advertising
Empire does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. Because there is no sale or sharing, there is nothing for a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request to stop — but if you want confirmation in writing, email [email protected] and we will provide it. Your other privacy rights, and how to exercise them, are in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes
If we add a cookie category or a new provider, we will update this page and the banner, and the date at the top will change.
